The LMV Mechanical Technician at Dangote Cement Plc is responsible for ensuring safe operating condition of Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) by conducting routine maintenance and needed repairs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure that plant heavy equipment/vehicles are in safe operating condition by conducting routine maintenance and scheduling needed repairs.
Carry out all types of repairs (emergency/running) and daily/periodic preventive maintenance of various makes and types of heavy-duty equipment, utilities, plants, and vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidance and safe operating procedures to ensure optimum utilization and availability.
Ensure proper housekeeping during and after completion of jobs.
Deliver adequate on-the-job training to junior technicians/helpers to develop them professionally.
Ensure safety in using material handling equipment, tools, etc.
Carry out performance appraisal and practical assessment of junior technicians/helpers/intending staff for promotion and employment, respectively.
Use all recommended PPE as per the company Safety Policy and report accidents or near-miss incidents to the relevant authorities.
Suggest to management methods for improving maintenance practices.
Interpret electrical, air, and hydraulic schematics and perform repairs.
Ensure consistent availability of LMV equipment/vehicles for uninterrupted operations.
Diagnose problems in petrol/diesel engines, hydraulic, and transmission systems and initiate remedial actions appropriately.
Assist the supervisor/engineer with spare parts planning.
Properly handle tools provided and ensure correct usage.
Comply with ISO regulations.
The Job Requirements
Requirements:
OND in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of three (3) years working experience as an LMV Technician.
Trade Test 1 with a minimum of eight (8) years working experience as an LMV Technician.
Good understanding and interpretation of electrical, air, and hydraulic schematics and repairs.
