Our client is a fast-growing renewable energy company providing reliable off-grid power solutions to businesses and homes across Nigeria. They are looking to hire an experienced Field Service Engineer.

Role Summary

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for maintaining customers’ solar and energy systems within an assigned cluster.

The role focuses on operations and maintenance activities to ensure system efficiency, energy availability, and high customer satisfaction.

Your Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of solar installations within the assigned cluster.

  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on solar PV systems, inverters, and battery systems.

  • Perform site visits to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize system performance.

  • Diagnose and resolve faults related to solar panels, inverters, battery storage systems, and other energy components.

  • Support installations, commissioning, maintenance, and repair activities in collaboration with the project team.

  • Conduct acceptance testing for deployed solar solutions.

  • Ensure maximum system uptime and minimal service disruption.

  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry best practices and company standards.

  • Conduct site assessments and load analysis for prospective clients when required.

  • Provide availability for emergency call-outs when necessary.

The Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum of B.Eng or B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in solar systems and electrical wiring.
  • Strong technical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to emerging technologies and evolving work environments.
  • Strong customer relationship and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Basic team coordination or supervisory capability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Valid driver’s license.
