The CNG Compressor Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) systems. This position requires diagnostic and repair expertise to maintain compressor equipment and ensure adherence to safety standards and operational efficiency.

Your Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair CNG compressors and related systems to ensure reliable operation.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues affecting compressors.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components.
  • Repair or replace defective parts and components as required.
  • Conduct performance testing on CNG compressors to ensure they are operating within specified parameters.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, including parts and materials used.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations while working on compressor systems.
  • Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members to achieve operational goals.
  • Provide technical support and training to other personnel as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in compressor technology.

The Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.Eng, HND, or ND in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Relevant trade test certificate (Class I–III) is an added advantage.
  • OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) training on compressors preferable.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience working with CNG compressors or related mechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of CNG compressor systems, mechanics, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for performance testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
