Job Responsibilities - Key Result Areas
- Leading and Managing NOC Teams: Directing and mentoring NOC engineers, ensuring efficient team operations and performance.
- Network Monitoring and Surveillance: Proactively monitoring network elements, identifying and resolving issues, and escalating problems as needed.
- Incident Management: Coordinating incident response, ensuring timely resolution of network issues, and communicating with stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting and Resolution: Diagnosing and resolving complex network and system issues, often escalated from lower-level engineers.
- Network Maintenance and Upgrades: Performing network maintenance tasks, implementing upgrades, and managing network configurations.
- Network Security: Implementing and enforcing network security measures to protect the network from threats.
- Documentation and Reporting: Creating and maintaining network documentation, developing reports on NOC performance, and analyzing incident trends.
- Collaboration: Working with other teams (engineering, support) to ensure efficient network operations and incident resolution.
- Vendor Management: Managing relationships with vendors to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Training and Development: Conducting training for NOC personnel to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
