About the Job

As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance and support of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all systems and networks. This role requires a strong understanding of computer systems, networking, software applications, and cybersecurity best practices. You will provide technical support staff, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to IT projects.

Your Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.); monitor network performance; and troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Implement and maintain network security measures and manage user accounts and access permissions
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, etc.)
  • Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Manage and maintain servers and related infrastructure, including performing system backups and disaster recovery procedures
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware problems, and install and configure software applications
  • Manage software licenses and updates, and recommend and procure hardware and software as needed
  • Implement and maintain security protocols and measures to protect company data
  • Monitor systems for security breaches and intrusions
  • Conduct security awareness training for employees and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, applications, and procedures
  • Participate in IT projects, including planning, implementation, and documentation
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure project success
  • Document troubleshooting steps and solutions, and develop user manuals and training materials
  • Liaise with IT vendors for support, maintenance, and procurement; assist in evaluating vendor proposals; and manage vendor contracts
  • Stay current with IT trends and best practices, and continuously improve skills through self-learning, training, and professional development

The Job Requirements

Requirements

  • BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure roles.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, ITIL, or Microsoft certifications are an advantage.
  • Background in aviation, aerospace, defense, oil and gas, or similar industries is a plus.
  • Candidates with strong practical experience but non-traditional qualifications will also be considered.
