The Systems Administrator is responsible for performing a hands-on role that requires a full understanding of the following:

  • Installation, configuration, patching, and upgrade of Linux/AIX operating systems.
  • Proactively maintain and develop all Linux/AIX infrastructure technology to ensure 24x7 uptime.
  • Install, configure, administer, and monitor Red Hat OpenShift clusters on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Support and troubleshoot IBM Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) integration platform and resolve associated incidents.
  • Create, secure, and manage virtualized environments using VMware and IBM Hypervisor.
  • Support, maintain, and administer core Dell/IBM infrastructures, including servers, storage, and SAN switches.
  • Install, configure, and administer IBM API Connect infrastructure subsystems, including portal, management, and analytics.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, and hotfixes on servers, storage, and SAN switches.
  • Proactively monitor system performance and perform capacity planning.
  • Install and upgrade security, backup, application, and monitoring agents on all Linux/AIX servers in collaboration with IT teams.

The Enterprise System Administrator also carries out responsibilities in management, infrastructure design and layout, and Disaster Recovery design and implementation.

Qualifications

Type of Qualification: University Degree - B.Sc. (Minimum of Second-Class Lower)

Field of Study: IT, Computer Sciences or related field

Experience Description: Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in a similar or related position
