Mission
To strategically plan MTNN’s Transmission network for future growth and develop short-, medium- and long-term Transmission solutions for Network evolution e.g. for GPRS, UMTS etc.
To provide high-level support for the Head of the Transmission Division.
Manage capacity, Interfaces Utilization and evolution, Manage Access Transmission network automation systems like Network Management Systems – NMS, and Manage Effective use of Spectrum resources and associated regulatory compliance for access network segment within the assigned region.
Description
Analyze data, activities & stakeholder requirements to provide relevant and up to date information to support decision-making and the effective working of the whole Transmission Access Planning (TAP) functions.
Design and implement procedures, processes and policies within TAP to improve the working of the National Transmission Access Planning system.
Interface with other relevant stakeholders to meet their requirements and optimize the transmission network.
Support regulatory management by submitting NCC Spectrum usage reports bi-annually.
Liaise with management and other departments to deliver business objectives and reduce time to market.
Provide technical directions and frameworks to meet business needs.
Be responsible for collation and validation of data used in NCC microwave spectrum bi-annual report.
Update, analyze and validate the Transmission Access Planning database regularly.
Participate in transmission operations & planning stakeholder meetings to implement developed policies and processes.
Maintain effective relationships with internal and external suppliers.
Coordinate, coach and influence external partners and internal departments for seamless service delivery.
Education
First degree in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering
Fluent in English
Experience
3 - 7 years’ experience which includes:
Experience working in a medium to large organization
Expertise in Microwave, SPD, SDH, ATM, DWDM, WDM, IP, Fibre, and other Broadband systems
Radio Frequency Engineering Propagation Experience
3 years’ experience in ICT or Telecommunications, especially in Transmission
Experience with Transmission Planning and Optimization
Deep knowledge in IP technologies and techniques (e.g., BGP, IGP, L2VPN, L3VPN, ISIS)
Experience in a multi-vendor Transmission environment (e.g., Ericsson, Aviat, Huawei, ZTE, Nokia)
