About the Job

In partnership with our client, we are seeking a Project Director to serve as the driving force behind a foundation with bold cultural ambitions.

You will own the full arc of programme delivery—from shaping flagship initiatives across art, film, fashion, and philanthropy to building the systems that ensure every vision lands with precision and impact.

If you are a rare blend of strategic thinker and hands-on executor who thrives at the intersection of creativity, social impact, and operational excellence, we want to meet you.

Who are we looking for?

  • You are a strategic builder who doesn't just dream up ideas; you create the frameworks, timelines, and governance structures that turn them into reality.
  • You are a creative industry insider, deeply familiar with the worlds of art, film, fashion, or culture, and passionate about the role philanthropy plays in shaping them.
  • You are a systems thinker, naturally wired to bring order to complexity, and energised by designing workflows that make teams more efficient and accountable.
  • You are a relationship architect, gifted at cultivating partnerships with institutions, collaborators, and cultural organisations both locally and globally.
  • You are a dual-threat leader, equally comfortable presenting programme vision to a Foundation board and getting into the weeds of a project timeline with your team.

Your Job Description

Your Responsibilities…

Programme Strategy & Vision

  • You will lead the development of the Foundation's programme strategy across art, film, fashion, entertainment, and philanthropy, translating the Foundation's mission into distinctive, high-impact initiatives with long-term relevance.

Programme Development & Oversight

  • You will oversee programmes from concept to completion, ensuring creative integrity, strategic alignment, and operational excellence at every stage with clear timelines, budgets, and evaluation models in place.

Operational Systems & Processes

  • You will design and implement systems for planning, documentation, tracking, and reporting, establishing operational standards and workflows that improve efficiency as the Foundation scales.

Budgeting & Resource Control

  • You will manage budget development and cost tracking across initiatives, ensuring strong financial visibility, spend discipline, and accountability in close collaboration with Finance.

Partnerships & Alliances

  • You will cultivate and manage strategic partnerships locally and globally, deepening existing relationships and building new alliances that position the Foundation as a preferred partner in creative and philanthropic ecosystems.

Philanthropic Initiatives

  • You will design and launch the Foundation's giving arm, developing initiatives across education, youth empowerment, and community development, with the governance structures needed to manage grants responsibly.

Governance & Leadership Support

  • You will prepare reports, operational updates, and structured documentation for Board and leadership meetings, ensuring records and processes consistently meet governance standards.

What Success looks like…

  • Build a clearly defined programme portfolio with at least two flagship initiatives in active development within the first year.

  • Establish a full operational infrastructure — systems, workflows, templates, and governance protocols — within the first six months.

  • Secure and activate at least three new strategic partnerships annually that expand the Foundation's cultural or social footprint.

  • Deliver all programmes on time, within budget, and with documented impact metrics.

The Job Requirements

To be considered for this role you should have…

  • 8+ years of experience spanning programme strategy, operations, cultural management, philanthropy, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives and building operational systems and workflows.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, budgets, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking, organisational design capability, and excellent communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for culture, creativity, and social impact.

Challenges you may face in this role…

  • Balancing the Foundation's creative ambition with the operational rigour required to deliver programmes at a consistently high standard.
  • Managing a wide portfolio of initiatives across different sectors, each with its own stakeholders, timelines, and success metrics.
  • Building systems and governance structures from the ground up while keeping pace with an active programme calendar.

The Goodies…

  • The rare opportunity to shape the cultural and social legacy of one of Nigeria's most respected foundations.
  • A collaborative environment that values both bold creative thinking and disciplined execution.
  • Exposure to leading voices across Africa's creative, philanthropic, and cultural sectors.
  • Professional growth at the intersection of culture, strategy, and social impact.
