About the Job

In partnership with our client, we are seeking a Communications Officer to serve as the dedicated custodian of the Foundation's voice, visibility, and digital presence.

You will be a pivotal execution partner in bringing a rich cultural and philanthropic narrative to life—from managing a dynamic content calendar across digital platforms to coordinating campaign rollouts that reflect the Foundation's identity with precision and polish.

Working in close partnership with the Foundation's strategic communications partner, you will be the engine that ensures every story is told consistently, every platform is managed with discipline, and every audience touchpoint feels unmistakably on brand.

If you are a digitally fluent, detail-driven communicator with a deep appreciation for culture and creativity, we want to meet you.

Who are we looking for?

  • You are a platform native, deeply fluent across Instagram, LinkedIn, newsletters, and beyond; you understand not just how to post, but how to engage and grow an audience meaningfully.
  • You are a brand guardian, with a sharp eye for tone, visual consistency, and the discipline to ensure every piece of content feels aligned with the Foundation's identity.
  • You are an organised executor, the kind of person who thrives on a well-managed content calendar and gets satisfaction from publishing on time, every time.
  • You are a creative collaborator, comfortable working alongside strategists, designers, photographers, and programme leads to bring ideas to life across multiple formats.
  • You are detail-obsessive, someone who spots an off-brand caption or a misaligned visual before it goes live and won't let it slip through.

Your Job Description

Your Responsibilities…

  • You will execute the Foundation's social media and digital content calendar, publishing and managing content across platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, the website, newsletters, and more, while maintaining consistency in tone, visual identity, and messaging at every touchpoint.

  • You will work closely with the Foundation's strategic communications partner to implement campaign concepts and storytelling direction, translating strategic narratives into platform-appropriate content and coordinating the rollout of announcements, programmes, partnerships, and events.

  • You will ensure all communications align with the Foundation's brand guidelines, managing content assets across copy, images, video, and graphics while coordinating with designers, photographers, and vendors as needed.

  • You will support Programme Leads in communicating initiatives and milestones, gathering updates, materials, and content inputs to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information across all channels.

  • You will track digital metrics and content performance, providing regular updates on growth, engagement, and reach, and feeding insights into the Foundation's broader communications strategy.

What Success looks like…

  • Maintain a consistent, on-brand digital presence with zero lapses in publishing discipline across all active platforms.

  • Grow the Foundation's audience engagement steadily quarter on quarter, with measurable improvements in reach and interaction.

  • Execute all campaign rollouts on time and in full alignment with the strategic direction set by Foundation leadership and its communications partner.

  • Build and maintain an organised, audit-ready archive of all communication materials and assets.

The Job Requirements

To be considered for this role you should have…

  • 3+ years of experience in communications, social media management, digital content, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing brand platforms with a strong sense of tone and visual identity.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication ability with a natural feel for storytelling and brand voice.
  • A genuine appreciation for culture, creativity, and the role of philanthropy in shaping society.

Challenges you may face in this role…

  • Maintaining publishing discipline and content quality across multiple platforms while supporting an active and growing programme calendar.
  • Balancing the creative flexibility required in cultural communications with the brand consistency and tone discipline the Foundation demands.
  • Coordinating effectively between internal programme teams and an external strategic partner while keeping all communications seamlessly aligned.

The Goodies…

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • The opportunity to shape the daily voice and visibility of one of Nigeria's most culturally significant foundations.
  • A collaborative working environment alongside some of the most creative minds in Nigeria's arts and culture space.
  • Exposure to world-class storytelling, cultural programming, and philanthropic initiatives.
  • Professional growth at the intersection of communications, culture, and social impact.
