JOB PURPOSE
To aid and supports to the head of sales to grow in the region the Sales & Marketing business, relationships, and revenue in a profitable and cost-effective manner.
To understand institutional client’s needs and objectives and identify opportunities for EDC to support institutional clients in addressing or escalating problems and challenges relating to sustainable growth and profitability.

The role implies to be customer centric, network mind with abilities to address/escalate issues to the unit head to ensure strong Sales & Marketing relationships and high service quality.
The incumbent is frequently requested to provide information, reporting on Sales business.
Your Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SALES AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Pitch for and maintain business relationships with clients (Institutional and local corporates) and manage the in-country relationship to ensure the smooth running of the account.
Daily research and analysis of micro economic variables to update institutional clients about factors which might influence their decision-making process.
Attain targeted sales goals, performance targets and customer satisfaction through the effective management of resources.
Initiate and follow up on new business opportunities, lead new business meetings and close sales to institutional investors and consultants.
Leverage the organization’s relationship with existing institutional clients by developing and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives.
Assists in the development and launching of new products.
Generate leads and cross-selling of all company's products and services across all asset classes such as fixed income securities, Trust services, Banking products, Equities, Loan services and Forex.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Implement marketing strategies to develop existing portfolio and develop new opportunities.
Understand customer needs and provide products and services to satisfy client needs and achieve business objectives.
Develop executive contact plan and arrange meetings between the proposed client and the Head of Unit.
Prepare and agree with the Line Manager on a call planning, to maximize returns in line with business strategy.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study
Knowledge of the capital market
Experience
At least 6 years' work experience, including 5 years Sales experience with good sales track record in local corporate and Institutional Sales, and 5 years’ experience in Executive Administrative work and Customer Service
Ability to interact and negotiate with the client organization at the local decision-making level
Customer-focused & results-oriented
Good verbal and written communication skills in relevant languages to the accounts assigned
Ability to pull together various resources to sell and deliver customer solutions
Good organizational and time management skills are highly desirable
