Services Description
Services to be performed by the contractor shall include the following, but without limitation:
Verify that the company’s contractual policies and applicable laws and regulations are adhered to, especially those related to ethics and transparency.
Verify that contracts comply with company standards and agreements with partners.
Ensure the application and adherence to procedures in the tender process.
Work closely with the DUET counterpart to create contract dossiers, define contractual responsibilities, validate contract strategy, negotiate and analyze commercial bids, and participate in recommendations for contract awards.
Adapt standard contract templates to local conditions.
Provide professional advice and guidance to contract owners and entities regarding contractual matters.
Liaise with Methods and Performance and the Domain Manager for timely reporting, including validation and recording of savings in Agora and statistics management.
Stay informed of best practices in contract procedures across other entities and affiliates to improve company contract practices.
Promote the use of frame agreements.
Prepare and maintain an up-to-date list of qualified contractors, suppliers, and potential tenders/contracts with updated information for market studies and analysis.
Participate in the validation of contract strategies by arranging and attending Contracts Committee meetings, pre-qualifying bidders, defining target prices, establishing evaluation criteria, and preparing commercial CFT documents.
Prepare and distribute pre-consultation dossiers for standard or complex invitations to bid, ensuring compliance with Ethics, Compliance, H3SEQ clauses, company rules, procedures, and applicable legislation.
Verify Terms and Conditions, including standard, general, and financial provisions.
Create contracts using standard templates or develop new templates where necessary and establish outline agreements in SAP.
Conduct Terms and Conditions bid analysis and negotiation in the best interest of the company.
Conduct commercial bid analysis and negotiations, clearly defining responsibilities and documentation in collaboration with the DUET.
Lead recommendations for contract awards and presentations to the Contracts Committee in collaboration with the triplet.
Participate in signing formal documents following approval from authorities and partners, clarifying rights and obligations in accordance with DOA.
Ensure contracts are created and managed in UNISUP and AGORA and promote effective use of tools and systems such as Ariba, NIPEX, REX+, and AGORA.
Prepare documentation for settlement of lawsuits in collaboration with legal, insurance, and financial departments.
Monitor contractor performance with DUET by promoting and attending service quality meetings, handling claims, amendments, contract renewals, and maintaining stakeholder networks such as NAPIMS and NCDMB.
Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
A degree in Engineering, Management, or Social Sciences (preferably Supply Chain).
Membership of relevant professional bodies in the supply chain and in operational functions will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
3 to 5 years' experience in oil and gas industry, of which 2 years should be as a contract engineer.
Demonstrable general knowledge and understanding of commercial, legal, and insurance issues affecting the company in general.
Good command of the English language and excellent communication skills.
