Job Summary

Carry out surveying & supervision in accordance with Survey standard(s) of practice, physical inspections, examining plans / designs, ensuring that work is done in line with approved specification(s).

Job Details

Leadership

  • Provide positive and professional leadership to the team.
  • Delegate responsibility(ies) on-site while retaining overall accountability for the efficient and timely delivery of the project.
  • Provide advice and support to the project site construction team.
  • Work hand in hand with the civil engineers using the provided designs to establish required levels on-site consistently to achieve project goals.
  • Make sure the project complies with legal requirements, especially health and safety.
  • Manage Survey budgets and instruments.

Core / Technical

  • To collect, analyze data using geographic information for projects.
  • To interpret technical drawings and ensure that Survey works are carried out in accordance with the design.
  • To provide solutions to survey issues that may arise throughout the lifetime of the project.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee Survey works.
  • Interpret technical drawings, supervise, and ensure execution of the project in accordance with the engineering design.
  • Ensure Survey works are executed according to AFC designs and are completed within budget according to the approved schedule.
  • Field Data Acquisition, Processing, and Presentation.
  • Secure Survey software, Steel and Vinyl tape, Total Station, Auto Level, etc. in my custody.
  • Prepare and submit daily / closeout reports of ongoing / completed jobs / Projects.
  • Prepare timesheets for the payment of workers.
  • Prepare As-built and submit at the end of the project.
  • Any other assigned responsibilities by the Project management team.

Requirements

  • BSC or HND in Survey & Geomatics.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in Survey works, at least 5 years must be in Oil and Gas survey works.
