The Capital Project Services team advises governments and businesses in the delivery of complex capital projects and programs. As part of our team, you will provide expertise to clients on the design and delivery of transformative projects, program and commercial management approaches, and optimization of capital and infrastructure projects while ensuring project success, within constrained budgets or through challenging situations. You will work across many sectors providing services throughout the project life cycle from project feasibility, governance, infrastructure and procurement, construction readiness, project execution, and readiness for operations.
As a Senior Manager, you will build and manage a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues across the lifecycle of capital and infrastructure projects. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Directors and above.
- Train, support, and manage team members.
- Establish effective working relationships directly with clients.
- Contribute to the development of your own and team's business and technical acumen.
- Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues.
- Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients.
- Grow the pipeline for Capital Projects and Infrastructure opportunities.
- Contribute towards the origination and/or closing of a minimum of 25% CP&I annual budget.
- Develop internal relationships across the local firm and the global network.
- Keep up to date on new ways of working (e.g., adoption of new digital tools) and identify potential global best practices to incorporate into day-to-day work.
- Manage a range of stakeholders (e.g., client, subconsultants, regulatory bodies, Federal/State government ministries and agencies).
- Ensure the deliverables adhere to the firm’s policies and risk management requirements.
Minimum Education & Years of Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s degree in business or finance-related field is a plus.
- Professional qualifications like CFA (added advantage), ICAN/ACCA (required), PMP certification (required), etc.
- At least 10 years' work experience is required with 4 years spent at Manager level.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading projects and diverse teams.
- Track record of advising on significant energy projects - experience across power, refineries, and petrochemicals will be a distinct advantage.
- Experience in a senior role or relevant experience in a senior management role in a large/global or fast-growing organization.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have practical industry experience combined with experience in consulting, investment banking or private equity.
- Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with senior-level clients in both the private and public sector.
- Must have significant emerging markets experience - preference will be given to candidates with advisory/consulting experience on large scale infrastructure projects network in Nigeria / West Africa.
