Job Summary

The Medical Doctor is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care, conducting health assessments, diagnosing illnesses, and implementing treatment plans. This role requires a dedicated healthcare professional who can ensure optimal patient care while adhering to clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough health assessments and physical examinations of patients.
  • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions and injuries.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Prescribe, administer, and monitor medications in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Ensure that all patient care activities comply with established clinical guidelines and quality standards.
  • Document patient evaluations, treatments, and medications accurately in medical records.
  • Supervise junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing immediate care as necessary.
  • Participate in the management of critical situations within the healthcare facility.
  • Conduct pre-employment medical checks and routine health screenings.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on medical advancements.

Requirements

Specifications

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBBS) from a recognized institution; current practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria is mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years post-NYSC experience in a clinical setting; additional qualifications such as a Master’s degree in a relevant field are advantageous.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in managing patient records and using electronic health systems.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: #300,000 - #350,000
