Manager, School Inspection at NewGlobe

School Inspection Department

School Inspection is the auditing function of our school operations (facilities, materials & supplies, personnel and processes) against our set of standards and policies to ensure all schools maintain an environment where teaching and learning thrive. School Inspection ensures compliance with procedural requirements through frequent school observation visits and audits of school operations. Program managers use the data School Inspection collects and audits to uphold a consistent service level standard at each school. Managers also use School Inspection data to validate the data collected from other sources and used by other teams. We have established high standards for our many schools. Ensuring these standards are maintained across every single school is integral to the success of our model.

About the Role

We are seeking a full-time School Inspection Manager who is excited about improving learning outcomes in government schools by providing technical and managerial leadership to a larger School Inspection (audit) team.

We aim to impact teaching and learning, so we need to deliver high quality data to decision makers at all levels of the organization. School Inspection ensures that we have accurate knowledge of what is happening in schools by auditing all School operations. The data output from the audits you’ll design and run will be used to drive continuous improvement in the schools.

The School Inspection Manager must work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and functional areas, and must be excited about driving change by recommending improvements to our processes and work towards audits that demonstrate 100% compliance.

You will be responsible for:

  • Daily management of a large field team
  • Proposing and adapting audits
  • Analyzing & providing actionable data
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure rapid issue resolution
  • Driving operational excellence and fostering a safe learning environment

The School Inspection Manager reports to the executive leadership (Project Director or Managing Director).

The primary audit focus is on the entire Schools Department ecosystem, though IT and People departments also act on audit findings.

What You Will Do

  • Establish School Inspection Procedures: Create and implement methodologies, monitor processes, and enhance quality control.
  • Manage School Inspection Staff: Train, supervise, and support inspection associates.
  • Report Quality Issues: Ensure audit visibility, issue tracking, and rapid resolution in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Maintain Inspection Records: Keep detailed records of inspection activities for transparency and evaluation.
  • Analyze Data & Create Reports: Find patterns, suggest improvements, and drive decisions with real-time data analysis.
  • Project Management: Plan and execute projects, liaise with teams, and ensure data accuracy and clear reporting.
  • Technical Leadership: Align audits with program needs and lead training initiatives for the inspection team.
  • Team Capacity Building: Coach field teams and ensure deliverables are met during field visits.

What You Should Have

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university (quantitative degrees preferred)
  • 5+ years managing field teams, preferably in data collection
  • Experience in team management, process improvement, and project coordination
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Advanced MS Excel and presentation/reporting tool skills
  • Strong decision-making, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset
