Supervise daily loading activities at the warehouse in line with stated policies, guidelines and procedures.

Your Job Description

The Job

  • Supervise loading and offloading operations and re-assign resources as required.
  • Obtain and review daily work schedule, incoming truck schedules, and picking-list to effectively plan and prepare for each day’s activities.
  • Supervise receipt of all shipments and process receipts, noting and reporting on discrepancies and damages as applicable.
  • Carry out safety inspection of loading/unloading, staging, and inbound/outbound areas in the warehouse.
  • Coordinate loaders on how to arrange goods in the truck to maximize truck space.
  • Collaborate with security team to coordinate truck arrival, entry, and exit.
  • Maintain records of all activities and processes pertaining to the storehouse.
  • Prepare activity reports as required for the attention of the Unit Head.

The Person Must

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have an inquisitive mindset with willingness and ability to learn quickly.
  • Have a high degree of diligence, commitment, and good self-hygiene.
  • Have ability to work with minimal supervision and good attention to detail.
  • Be disciplined and familiar with ethical warehouse operations.

Qualifications

  • OND or relevant qualification in Administration or any relevant discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in similar role.
