Job Summary

  • Ensure compliance to site HSE rules and adequate incident reporting.
  • Conduct regular on-site hazard identification, intervention and reporting, and interface with workers and client’s representatives on site-level HSE issues.
  • Ensure regular and prompt reports are sent to HSE supervisors, and crew HSE work packs and records are maintained in accordance with company standard practice.

Job Details

Leadership

  • Provide positive and professional leadership to HSE Trainees in AKK Project.
  • Delegate appropriate responsibility for the provision of HSE services & support in AKK Project, while reporting to the AKK HSE Supervisor.
  • Support implementation of the Group’s HSE policies related to goal zero incident targets and objectives.
  • Coach and mentor the HSE Trainees to maintain professionalism and company core values.

Core/Technical

  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings before commencement of work.
  • Report near misses and accidents, ensure investigations, and send reports to appropriate authorities.
  • Document HSE meeting minutes and track action points for close-out.
  • Participate in emergency drills and report observations for follow-up.
  • Submit weekly HSE statistics to the HSE Supervisor for monthly reporting.
  • Implement project HSE monitoring plans.
  • Collaborate with personnel on safe work systems and brief them on hazard controls.
  • Organize monthly HSE meetings at site/base.
  • Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) systems on site.
  • Conduct HSE inductions for new staff and visitors as assigned.
  • Ensure PPE compliance on site.
  • Participate in equipment pre-mobilization and re-inspection exercises.
  • Display safety signs and notices at designated points on site.
  • Compile weekly/monthly site cumulative man-hours for review.
  • Compile monthly HSE reports for the HSE Supervisor’s review.
  • Update the daily site HSE statistics board.
  • Identify and report unsafe acts and conditions at work sites.
  • Promote good housekeeping practices at work sites.
  • Participate in the reception of HSE materials and maintain records per departmental standards.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or equivalent in any subject.
  • HSE Level 3 ISPON certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years HSE experience in the Oil and Gas industry with a strong interest in career development in HSE.
