About the Job

The Grants and Development Officer is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing financial and in-kind support to advance the organization's mission. This role involves writing grant proposals, engaging with donors, and developing strategic partnerships that support programs, research, infrastructure, and outreach initiatives within the tertiary institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grant Sourcing & Proposal Writing: Identify funding opportunities and prepare high-quality grant proposals and concept notes.
  • Donor Engagement & Fundraising: Build and maintain relationships with donors; plan and implement fundraising campaigns.
  • Strategic Partnerships Development: Forge partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, corporations, and foundations.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely reporting and compliance with donor requirements and grant conditions.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with academic units and program teams to align funding needs with donor priorities.
  • Research & Communication: Conduct donor research and produce persuasive communications like pitch decks and reports.

Salary & Application

Salary Budget for this role: ₦150,000 – ₦180,000
