Carry out mechanical maintenance activities in the plant with a view to keep the machineries running and perform at optimum capacity.

Your Job Description

The Job

  • Repair production machines and equipment in the entire noodles plant and any other area/task that might be assigned to you by the superior officer.
  • Work efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime during repairs.
  • Report any malfunction or damaged items to the superior.
  • Keep proper records of time taken for job completion, spare parts replaced, and report observations in the logbook and the work order.
  • Find the root cause of every problem to prevent repetition.
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance according to schedule using checklist/work order.
  • Take responsibility for personal safety and that of others when carrying out any assignment.
  • Use correct personal protective equipment (PPE) and obey all safety rules as it affects every task to be done from time to time.

The Job Requirements

The Person Must Have

  • Have strong knowledge of mechanical fitting, alignment, and assembly of industrial machinery and components.
  • Be skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
  • Demonstrate ability to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
  • Maintain high attention to detail and precision in fitting, alignment, and installation tasks.
  • Follow safety standards and good maintenance practices in all operations.
  • Exhibit teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills to support maintenance and production teams effectively.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement: Technical Certificate and ND in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Added advantage: N/A

Experience

  • Minimum: 2 years in similar industry.
  • Added advantage: N/A
