Your Job Description at Olam International

• Actively participate in the preparation of the annual budgets, comparison of actual performance against the budget, identifying and analyzing variance, and monitoring the implementation of necessary actions.
• Drive business performance through analytics on portfolio management / category development and financial reporting.
• Responsible for successful M&A of new businesses, transfer pricing, and developing accounting & financial policies, systems, and controls for new and existing businesses.
• Ensure timely MIS and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines.
• Ensure legal, regulatory, and statutory compliance with authorities and audit requirements.
• Maintain smooth operation of MIS and computerized accounting systems, upgrading systems as required.
• Develop and establish effective management accounting functions to support organizational improvement initiatives.
• Identify and implement appropriate management accounting techniques, guiding their adoption across the organization.
• Efficiently manage the treasury function, including forecasting cash flows, securing necessary funding, liaising with banks, and monitoring disbursements within approved cash flows.
• Initiate and implement productivity improvement programs, advising operational managers on workflow analysis, system improvements, and cost management.
• Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and analysis for board and JV meetings, offering performance insights and risk assessments aligned with organizational goals.
• Key Deliverables:
  • Business Financial Insights: Demonstrates in-depth financial knowledge to reflect performance accurately and provide timely, strategic financial advice.
  • Controls, Compliance & Assurance: Evaluates risk and ensures compliance with legal, audit, and secretarial regulations and standards.
  • Reporting & Process Efficiencies: Designs and implements effective systems and processes for reporting, budgeting, and forecasting with high accuracy.
  • Business Partnering: Applies commercial, financial, and analytical expertise to support business success and growth initiatives.

The Job Requirements at Olam International

• Chartered Accountant, ACCA with 15 years of experience, including at least 5 years as a Financial Controller (FC) or Chief Financial Officer (CFO) managing end-to-end financials.
