Your Job Description

• Regulate and control the flow of effluent through the plant by operating and adjusting treatment plant pumps, motors, blowers, and other equipment to maintain proper plant operations.
• Mix and add treatment chemicals and ensure adequate chemical application according to regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain, compile, and update plant operations logs, gauge readings, and reports during assigned shift.
• Collect and document liquid and solid samples and perform a variety of routine water quality laboratory tests; work closely with the laboratory on testing processes; monitor laboratory results.
• Assist in periodic maintenance work, including disassembly and repair of pumps, valves, flow meters, and other plant equipment.
• Perform general plant facility maintenance, oil, grease, and clean equipment.
• Participate in the development of goals and procedures for wastewater treatment activities.
• Maintain factory cleanliness & orderliness at all times.
• Perform related duties as required.
• Carry out continuous plant improvement program.
• Identify and rate aspects of the departmental activities and develop programs where necessary to help control those aspects that could have adverse impacts on the environment.
