About the Company

We are currently seeking a seasoned procurement professional with the ability to act as a Contract Advisor/Expert in a procurement function.

The personnel will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on all contract-related matters within the department. This includes drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing a wide range of contracts to ensure compliance with organisational policies, legal requirements, and best practices.

Your Job Description

You’ll help our teams and clients by:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts, including purchase orders, service agreements, licensing agreements, and construction contracts.
  • Liaising with Finance, HSE, Compliance, and IT to ensure that all contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensuring contracts are clear, concise, and legally sound, protecting the organization's interests while minimizing risk.
  • Identifying and addressing potential legal and commercial risks in contracts.
  • Monitoring contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Build strong relationships with external suppliers and vendors for this purpose.
  • Managing contract variances and amendments as necessary to reflect changes in scope, pricing, or regulatory requirements.

The Job Requirements

You’re a strong candidate if you have:

  • Certifications in any of the following will be an advantage: The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), Nigerian Institute of Purchasing and Supply (NIPS), Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management (CISCM), Six Sigma, or other relevant procurement and supply chain certifications.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain operations.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities for managing complexities and risks.
  • Familiarity with supply chain technologies.
