We are currently seeking a seasoned procurement professional with the ability to act as a Contract Advisor/Expert in a procurement function.
The personnel will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on all contract-related matters within the department. This includes drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing a wide range of contracts to ensure compliance with organisational policies, legal requirements, and best practices.
Your Job Description
You’ll help our teams and clients by:
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts, including purchase orders, service agreements, licensing agreements, and construction contracts.
Liaising with Finance, HSE, Compliance, and IT to ensure that all contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Ensuring contracts are clear, concise, and legally sound, protecting the organization's interests while minimizing risk.
Identifying and addressing potential legal and commercial risks in contracts.
Monitoring contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Build strong relationships with external suppliers and vendors for this purpose.
Managing contract variances and amendments as necessary to reflect changes in scope, pricing, or regulatory requirements.

You’re a strong candidate if you have:
Certifications in any of the following will be an advantage: The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), Nigerian Institute of Purchasing and Supply (NIPS), Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management (CISCM), Six Sigma, or other relevant procurement and supply chain certifications.
8-10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain operations.
Strong decision-making skills.
Analytical and problem-solving capabilities for managing complexities and risks.
Familiarity with supply chain technologies.
