About the Job
Responsible for routine maintenance of all instruments and automation equipment. Monitor and report spare availability and consumption pattern to avoid nil-stock for all spare parts. Carry out Minor modifications to support the production process and recommend replacement for obsolete spares.
What you'll be doing
Work with process control systems including programmable logic controllers, sensors and actuators
Consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams and schematics
Repair and adjust system components or replace defective parts
Install control and measurement instruments on plant equipment
Inspect and test operation of instruments using testing devices
Calibrate field instruments according to specifications or best practices
Perform preventive maintenance and generate reports
Use SAP for work scheduling and execution, ensuring safety
Consult with Central Room Operators for instrument diagnostics
Support installation, testing, and reporting on automation systems
Troubleshoot failures involving electrical and mechanical equipment
Record and report specific electrical energy usage daily
Carry out regular field instrument inspections and generate reports
Attend departmental meetings and support management policies
Communicate departmental results and challenges

Reports security issues
Coordinates with external bodies: SEFA, TASQ
Context
Ensures efficient energy use on the clinker plant and cement mills
Ensures safety and environmental compliance (ISO 14001)
Size: One 800tpd capacity precalciner kiln
Two 195tph finish mills with roller press
Support proximity: support by CTC
What we are looking for
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project
Strong work ethics
Knowledge of safety laws and regulations
Good coaching skills
Excellent communication skills
Level of Education
HND/BSc in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics or Physics)
Functional (Technical) Competencies
Knowledge of cement manufacturing process
Understanding of product quality parameters and quality control tests
Knowledge of computer-aided systems for kiln and mill operations
