We are looking for a skilled Accountant who can hit the ground running someone who loves managing tax remittances, compensation structures, and internal audits while maintaining airtight compliance. In this role, you won’t just balance books you’ll help balance strategy and structure, ensuring every financial decision supports both the business and the people behind it.
This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to roll up their sleeves on payroll sheets, interpret tax laws, and spot discrepancies before they become risks.
Your Job Description
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
You will ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory deductions such as PAYE, pension, NSITF, ITF, and withholding tax.
You will liaise with regulatory bodies and manage documentation for tax audits and remittances.
Compensation & Benefits
You will oversee payroll computations, ensuring correct application of salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
You will manage staff benefits and statutory obligations with precision and confidentiality.
Accounting & Internal Controls
You will maintain accurate records of all financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
You will support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and reports.
You will assess existing processes and propose improvements to strengthen internal financial controls.
Reporting & Analysis
You will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required.
You will analyze variances, identify trends, and offer insights that support business decisions.
The Job Requirements
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong focus on tax and payroll.
A solid understanding of Nigerian tax laws and statutory remittances.
Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, Excel).
Professional certification (or progress toward ACA, ACCA, or similar) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
